The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is comprised of eleven distinct divisions focused on the full range of Medical Specialties.
Clinical activities in the division include all major aspects of cardiology, including general clinical cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, electrophysiology, heart failure, vascular medicine, and preventive cardiology.
The Endocrine Division has vigorous clinical programs, scholarship opportunities, and provides subspecialty training.
Our division provides state-of-the-art treatment for patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases, educates students in the pathophysiology of digestive diseases, and provides a strong basic science program for advancing the understanding of these disease processes.
Our members are responsible for curriculum development, residency scholarship, quality improvement activities, and department-wide faculty development.
Our diverse clinical faculty offer expertise in clinical geriatric and palliative medicine, and include geriatric medicine, palliative medicine, neurology, and geriatric psychiatry physicians as well as geriatric nurse practitioners.
Our mission is to achieve academic excellence in basic research, clinical research and education, and to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
The mission of the Division is to provide state-of-the-art care for all patients, to teach and mentor students in the art and science of infectious diseases, and to pursue research that investigates the manifestations and treatment of infectious diseases.
The Division aims to provide state-of-the-art care for patients with kidney disorders; to teach nephrology to medical students, house officers, and renal fellows; and to conduct clinical and basic research on kidney function and disease.
Our faculty members are passionate about their commitment to patient care, education, research, scholarship, and participation in national and international medical societies.
The Division covers a variety of general pulmonary, sleep, and subspecialty clinics across the state of Rhode Island.
Our Division provides outpatient services to patients with a variety of autoimmune and musculoskeletal illnesses ranging from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis to systemic lupus erythematosus and scleroderma.
